The
native of Valhalla Centre, Alberta is the recognized leader of
Canada's women's program which she has been a central part of
since 1993. Training at the University of Calgary with coaches
Leigh Vierling and Mitch Ostberg, Christine has had a storied
career which has built towards the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
She is a six-time World Champion and also has won a silver and
bronze medal at the World Championships, a five-time Canada Cup
gold medalist and a winner of multiple international championships
including the Gilbert Schaub (France), Hans von Zons (Germany),
Austrian Ladies Open, Klippan Lady Open (Sweden) and Poland Open.
Due to injury she did not compete in 2002 and worked hard to regain
her form for the latter part of 2003. She finished second at the
2003 World Cup and first at the 2004 Klippan Open, 2004 Austrian
Open, 2004 Olympic Qualifier and 2004 Canada Cup. Christine won
ten consecutive Senior National Championships from 1992 to 2001
prior to her injury reduced schedule. Recent indications are that
she is back on top of her world-class form and ready to perform
in Athens.
